Yes. Please extend the moratorium on water bottling permits. This is our water and it shouldn't be sold to Nestle or other conglomerates that don't have the people's interests at heart. Our aquifers are important to everyone's health and to the health of our environment. No more bottling!

Good to know that the Province appears to be keenly aware of the importance of protecting our fresh water resource. Canada has 20% of the world's resource and it will be taken from us if a diligent response to the matter is not taken soon. I... Lire davantage

We cannot be prioritizing the profit off of water when Indigenous communities have been under boil water advisories-- some as long as 24 years. This is colonial violence. Water is life. Water is living. It is not to be sold for profit. Lire davantage

As a concerned citizen of Ontario I believe that the moratorium should be extended. Why, when residents and farmers are being asked to cut back on their water use, is the government of Ontario siding with a water-hungry transnational water corporation? Lire davantage

I believe the current moratorium on water bottling permits need to be extended indefinitely. We cannot afford to have more plastic in our world nor water extracted from our lands.

The process of extraction of water is harmful to the environment. The waste generated from bottled beverage is harmful to the environment. The water removed from its natural cycle is harmful to the environment. Lire davantage

I support a moratorium. I am very angry about Nestle getting the water for almost nothing and selling it back to people with the added negative contribution of a terrible amount of plastic. NO to nestle access to water.

It’s time to put Canadians first. One of the wonderful things it is to be Canadian is to have access to fresh clean water. Stop selling our rights away for a few dollars and filling up our land sites and the environment with plastic bottles. Lire davantage

Please extend the moratorium permanently. No water should be allowed to leave our country until all Canadians have access to clean water.

I strongly feel that large-scale commercial water-taking should be very rigorously managed, if not outright forbidden. Compromising precious groundwater resources for private sector profit is an unacceptable risk. Lire davantage

We can not sell off our resources to corporations. Ontario is a hot mess now and we can't allow yet another blow to our environment. The right of the people to have clean water trumps anything any corporation wants to do or pay. Extend the moratorium.

Water is essential to life and should not be sold to companies like Nestle. Keep water resources for the community. Bottling water in unrecyclable plastic to sell in areas where there is a safe source is unsustainable, unnecessary and harmful. Stop water permits.

Water is one of our most valuable resources in Canada. We are fortunate to have a safe and reliable supply. It’s a human right and not a Privilege. We are offing it to multi billion transnational corporations for next to nothing. Unless they pay a fair share then I do not support them

Hello, I support the moratorium and believe more comprehensive environmental assessments need to be done on this issue. Please phase out the practice of allowing private companies to take groundwater for the purposes of bottling water. Thank you, A concerned Citizen
