WHY WE GIVING AWAY ARE WATER FOR A SMALL FEE, THEN THEY TURN AROUND AND SELL IT BACK TO USE FOR HUGE PROFITS. Nestle is not a company I want destroying our land.

Comoanies should not be able to cheaply harness our public water and resell it for high profits, they do not even manage the water source and that is paid for with our tax dollars. Raise the prices of the permit and put limits on how much companies can take of our resource. Lire davantage

We need to protect our fresh water. This resource will become more and more important as the climate changes. Nestle, and other large corporations should be charged much, much more to extract our water. Lire davantage

I agree 100% with this. Nestle and all the other companies pay pennies for millions of litres of water. We should put a prohibition on any water bottling permits to prevent these corporations from ruining what makes canada great.

This is one of the worst uses of Canada's natural resources. Not only are we essentially giving the water away to limited profit, Nestle is walking away with significant income. At the very least ensure they pay their fair share.

This moratorium is a step in the right direction. I was happy to read the Government is thinking of expanding this to Oct. 2020. With that being said, an outright prohibition is needed and would be the most effective thing. Lire davantage

Please do not allow for bottling of our water. Companies take so much from us and pay so little, water will be so valuable in the long run. Ontario needs to protect itself.

I'm deeply concerned by the actions of the Nestle corporation. Beyond this proposal, the full impact of the actions of bottled water companies should be analyzed and more strictly regulated. Bottled water is completely unnecessary is nearly every Canadian city. Lire davantage

I am against this proposal. Nestle and other companies pay pennies for our water. Until they begin to pay a reasonable price for access (i.e. thousands of dollars per million litres) we should not allow them to take more

Water should not be sold at a profit. It is a needed resource for life and should be taken care of as such. Water from lakes should be sold at cost or at a slight margin, with the profits being used to take care of the environment.

I think it is disgusting that Nestle is able to buy up our precious water for pennies. As a current tax payer in Ontario (Kingston), I pay about $1.50/1000L. Nestle allegedly pays $0.05/1000L. Lire davantage
