We don't have the right to kill anyone for pleasure, for entertainment, for financial gain. The question should not be about increasing or tailoring the hunt, but eliminating the hunt as unnecessary and unethical. Lire davantage

There is NO evidence that a spring bear hunt will reduce the number of “problem bears” Shooting bears in the spring, when they are vulnerable, hungry, and still have dependent cubs, is unethical. Lire davantage

I am very opposed to the proposal of a permanent bear hunting policy in the spring. I have great difficulty in understanding how pleasure can be derived from killing such magnificent wild creatures for no good reason at any time of the year. Lire davantage

I am pleased to see the proposed reduction in time for bear hunting in the Bruce Peninsula. However, I would ask for further consideration to not allowing any bear hunting at all. Lire davantage

I 100% support the complete reinstatement of the spring bear hunt, including additional tags if as required in WMUs with higher numbers and or more problem bears.

I do not support this proposal! When I worked for MNR I remember the sows being shot with cubs. Most of the hunters were American sportsman at the time who paid to hunt. Many of them wanted their moneys worth and didn't watch for lactating sows.

This should NOT be a permanent allowance. I disagree with the proposed changes. I do NOT have faith in this government to do what is best for the environment. A permanent change is not beneficial! No!

As a lifelong Ontarian, I disagree with any killing of perfectly healthy wildlife whether is is black bear, coyote, moose or deer. Native species, such as black bears, are important in the natural ecosystem of our province and country. Lire davantage

I feel we should protect our wildlife - not extend it's demise. We should shorten hunting time and not make the Spring Hunt permanent. Very few bears threaten human habitats.

No we don’t need this. Find other activities other than killing these majestic creatures. You find them a nuisance? We share the land with them. We do not have the right to kill any human beings as we don’t have the right to kill any animals. Lire davantage

I was born and raised in Northern Ontario (Sudbury/North Bay) area and I still live here. I wish to comment on the proposed permanent status of the Spring Bear Hunt, as I am totally opposed to such a proposal. Lire davantage

I am completely against this, but if it's being put through it should involve the first nations all the way as well as environmentalist and conservationist. Looking at this from an economical point of view is foolish..there is more to this world than just money.

THIS IS SICK. How can you even propose this? Even respectful hunter have the common sense to not kill during spring when there are pups. If this proposal goes through many young bears will die. Do you really want that? DO NOT put this through. It's just plain slaughter, not hunting.

Very disappointed to see a spring hunt being considered again. The potential loss of females at a time when they are raising young is too high. I dare say that there will be a significant number of females killed. Hunters are not a highly trained group. Very disappointing. Reconsider this please

ABSOLUTELY NOT. THIS IS ANIMAL CRUELTY. THEY HAVE LIVES TOO. THEY MATTER. YOURE BEING SO INCREDIBLY SELFISH. WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF YOUR LIFE WAS INDISPENSABLE. THE WORLD IS FALLING APART, GLOBAL WARMING IS KILLING US AND YOU STILL CANNOT UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF PRESERVING OUR WILDLIFE. Lire davantage
