I urge you to stop the initiative that sees forests being cut for wood pellets. This seems entirely unsound when we know that forests and their ability to capture and store carbon are one important solution to climate change.

Encouraging the wood pellet industry is NOT climate friendly. It is akin to burning down your house to keep warm. It makes NO climate sense. The boreal forest is a rich, vast carbon sink and anyone who thinks that the pellet industry is using only "waste wood" is ill-informed, at best.

How can there be so little creativity in finding solutions to create jobs? I understood that Canada was particularly clever at producing green options. If they are so clever they would know pellets are dirty. So their cleverness is in their secrecy and hopeful deception.

Stop the nonsense. False climate solutions, that’s what cutting down forests for energy is. Deforestation is going to add to the problem not help solve it. Destroying and burning one of the solutions to our green house gas problem, while Lire davantage

I am strongly against the expansion of Ontario's biomass industry as set out in its Draft Forest Biomass Action Plan. Burning wood pellets (biomass) is not the solution to our climate crisis, and would in fact worsen the existing crisis. Lire davantage

This is sadly just a political trick. The science is clear that burning wood pellets is not going to create any positive impact on the climate. For the future of Canada and the rest of the planet start using science and not smoke and mirrors!

One of the main products of Ontario’s forest biomass industry is wood pellets. Wood pellets are marketed as a clean energy alternative, but we know that wood pellets are dirtier than coal at the smokestack. Lire davantage

Burning more trees for electricity – producing a fuel that’s even dirtier at the smokestack than coal - is not a green alternative! This is a ridiculous proposal.

Let’s find a better way to create electricity that does not consume our trees. Trees are a vibrant part of our ecological survivals for all species. Taking actress kills species that we need for our survival. There is a better way.

I am horrified by what I've learned about Ontario's plan. 1) I can understand using biomass waste, but NOT cutting down forests to obtain biomass. 2) Burning biomass/wood pellets is NOT clean energy. Please rethink. And don't recommend this plan to any other province or country.

Don’t you want to live in a sustainable world that leaves something fir the generations to come? Stop expanding the wood pellet industry – it’s a false climate solution that is dirtier than coal.

A word to the wise is supposed to be sufficient, but In this case it would appear that a wise word has no collateral in Ontario's myopic government, which carries no surprise, since wisdom is hard to come by in federal government as well.
