Please stop using wood pellets to produce energy. It should hardly be necessary to point out that deforestation cannot be a solution to our climate problems. It is not a clean energy solution.

Stop expanding the wood pellet industry! Biomass energy is dirtier than coal at the smokestack. Cutting down trees simply for fuel is an unacceptable and an unsustainable source of energy.

Stop this wood pellet industry. We need to save as many trees as possible to help with our climate change, not add more dirty pollution to the air. There are other options for a government to choose. Make a better choice! We have taken so much from this earth, it is time to give back!

Wood pellets being burned to produce electricity?? When this produces more pollution than burning coal?? NOW they are expanding the making of these wood pellets from milling waste to cutting down the Boreal Forest to produce more pellets!!?? Lire davantage

Thank you for developing this action plan. A circular economy in the far north is a great objective. I support the re-use of otherwise waste wood by-products in heating and energy systems. I am opposed to the harvesting of saw-log-worthy trees solely for biomass use. Lire davantage

I must admit burning wood including pellets from trees harvested for that purpose is just about the stupidest idea I've ever heard. Not only does the burning create more CO2 emissions than does burning coal, but the standing trees are aborbers of greenhouse gases. Lire davantage
