I firmly reject the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario. Penned dog hunting facilities are cruel to the wild animals who are subjected to various methods used to train dogs to hunt. Lire davantage

I believe we should continue to phase out this practice rather than perpetuate it by issuing/renewing liscenses.

This is completely barbaric and unneeded in today's society. This is a step backwards so that few can experience a cheap thrill from bloodsport.

I come from a hunting family, I absolutely support Canadian's rights to hunt their food. However, maintaining a level of humanity and dignity to the animal is absolutely imperative. This practice is cruelty plain and simple and should not be tolerated in Ontario.

It is incredibly telling of what our provincial government prioritizes when they are trying to pass a bill that allows people to legally torture and kill animals in enclosed spaces. Not for sport but for profits. This is incredibly disgusting and should not be allowed in any capacity. Lire davantage

Opening applications for train and trial spaces after 25 years is a massive step backward into the past. These facilities have no place in Ontario. We must protect all animals from cruelty, not give licenses for people to mistreat wildlife. This must not be allowed. It is inhumane.

I am against the inhumane nature and torture tactics used to trap and hunt animals in the wild!

Wildlife should never be taken from their natural environments and held captive by hunters. It’s especially cruel to use rabbits, coyotes, and foxes as pawns for hunters to train dogs and hold competitions.

Do not let this proposal pass, vote it down. I cannot believe that we are even considering allowing this practice when these wild animals are used as bait. Not only is this incredibly inhumane, it is laughable to think hunting dogs need to learn this practice. Lire davantage

I feel like this proposal to provide training for hunting dogs with live captive animals is barbaric!

This is a cruel, barbaric, and completely unnecessary practice. Torturing and killing captive animals is not a sport. How is this any different from dog fighting? Please don't allow this to continue.

This is absolutely disgusting. Wild animals shouldn't be subjugated to these barbaric practices. The year is 2023, how is this an actual thing being proposed? This province is very depressing, times have changed so much that old rules, laws, and "ways things were done" are just not cutting it. Lire davantage

This proposal is a step backwards, not forward. Rabbits, coyotes and foxes are just as capable of suffering as our beloved pets. We must unequivocally reject these barbaric practices. There's not place in Ontario for the torture of animals.

I firmly reject the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario. Instead of opening new applications, the province’s existing 24 facilities need to be closed immediately. Lire davantage

This is absolutely disgusting, Doug Ford should be ashamed of himself. Apparently it's not enough for him to cause suffering to the humans of Ontario, he wants even more. Dispicable.

Are you insane? Are you seriously suggesting that this is a good change in policy? Are enough Tory voters clambering for the right to torture animals that you're going to backtrack on 25 years of phasing out this barbarism? Lire davantage

Allowing wild animals to be captured and used to train hunting dogs is incredibly cruel.
