Why is the planet doomed? It’s doomed because of politicians and their big money friends making deals! We can not survive buy destroying wild places any longer! Protection of land like this, is protection for our children’s future. This has nothing to to with lack of housing. Lire davantage

I am a PhD student and educator with experience working in social services, healthcare, policy, social research, and education fields. The lack of scientific rigor found in the proposal is appalling. Lire davantage

Please DO NOT remove any lands from the Greenbelt for development. Money should be spent into building vertically (buildings and complexes with stores and medical facilities on the ground floors) and conserving the green space. Lire davantage

I live in protected Green belt lands. I am a land steward. There is wildlife that lives peacefully here. I stand firm that there is no reason to infringe on these protected lands. Lire davantage

Building on the Greenbelt - whether or not you think adding extra land elsewhere makes up for it - is a slippery slope. This decision making exemplifies short term greed over what is best for us in the long term. The very best agricultural land in Ontario is in the Great-Lakes St. Lire davantage

I do not agree with opening up the greenbelt to development. It seems very clear that the development of highway 413 and the proposed residential developments are about appeasing developers. They are so wealthy and looking to get richer. Lire davantage

This is a terrible idea. You are sacrificing Canadians futures for short term profits and short term power. You are capitulating to the demands of developers and are making a disgrace of our hard fought democracy. You are duping the public. Lire davantage

I am a retired land use planner with over 4 decades of experience as a planner both at the Provincial level and as a consultant to developers and to local municipalities. I am shocked at many elements of this Bill. It is land use planning and densification by target numbers. At what cost? Lire davantage

In a world where human housing disrupts the very places where we get food, air, and provide habitat for wildlife and pollinators we must analyze and determine if our housing is a priority. Lire davantage

I am writing to express my opposition to Bill 23 and associated policy proposals that would weaken environmental protections and undermine public involvement in land use planning and decision-making. I am particularly concerned about the: Lire davantage

Established Green Space must be kept and not used for construction of homes or commercial building. Convert non-fertile unusable rocky land for construction projects and build more rail transport for commuting, which will help save our environment. Lire davantage

Doug Ford - this idea is insane. We need to leave what little green space we have left in southern Ontario alone. If you must, Build up, not out. Balance must be restored to our planet. Lire davantage

The Greenbelt MUST be protected! Our ecosystem is so interconnected and weather is getting more intense. Without the green space to absorb water from torrential storms and carbon dioxide from industrial activity, not to mention land to grow food, we will be in dire straits. Lire davantage

I am appalled at the careless manner which this Ford government has towards the protection of our natural areas. What a slap in the face to the lives of Ontarians, current and future, and the wildlife in our greenbelt. Lire davantage
