Please DO NOT build houses on environmentally protected and significant land. You are thinking of a short term problem without looking at the log term ecological inpacts. Have you heard of global warming and climate change Ford? Do you think this will help?

The greenbelt was created by law as an urban growth boundary and to protect natural resources for the health and well-being of Ontario's people. Simply under principal, the greenbelt should not be touched in anyway on the basis that law and policy I believe, have formally protected that land.

Please don't develop these protected animals. We need green spaces, animals need it, healthy air and water needs it. It was protected for a reason. Lose 9500 acres but gain 2000, that's a massive loss and will devestate the ecosystem.

I am highly opposed the to redevelopment of the Greenbelt. This put precious ecosystems into jeopardy, furthers us from our climate objectives & does not fix our housing crisis. This should be dismissed as a viable solution.
Do not redesignate land in the Oak Ridges Moraine so that it can be developed. This is shortsighted, destroys natural and agricultural spaces that are critical, and encourages urban sprawl.

I was very dismayed to see the government go back on their words published last year in the Toronto Star where Minister Steve Clark stated that the government was "not going to entertain any conversations about a land swap" in regards to Ontario's Greenbelt.

The government should focus on increasing density in areas that aren't protected. The housing task force specifically said land in the greenbelt isn't necessary to fix the housing crisis. The government should listen to those experts.

I wholeheartedly oppose this proposal. The Oak Ridges Moraine is an incredibly delicate and important area that previous governments realized was key to maintaining our ecological system, fresh water and flood mitigation.

We voted for a premier who PROMISED to save our green belt. These lands are necessary to sustain our lives. Do not allow a bully or developers to cause the demise of ontarios green spaces.

Stop this nonsense. We all know that the people who need homes won't be able to afford the million dollar, poorly built monstrosities that you want to construct far away from any amenities! This is very clearly Ford's plan to put money into the pockets of developers.

Looking at what Doug Ford said in 2018, this is a direct contradiction to now build on the green belt. Already not enough is being done to preserve our ecosystem that speaks to our collective environmental health and safety for our future. This cannot take place
