We agree that there is an urgent need for more housing development BUT the new units must
a) be affordable
b) be focused on multi-residential units
c) be part of a “smart growth policy”
d) not encroach on protected areas
e) not exacerbate urban sprawl

Your government has proven that it cannot be trusted. This must NOT be permitted. Honour the green belt designations and your promise NOT to alter it. This is unacceptable and will cause irrevocable harm to our vulnerable ecosystem. Do the right thing for once
I strongly oppose the proposed redesignation of land under the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan. This will 100% affect my political stance and I will continue to raise support in opposition to this proposal. I have lived in Ontario my whole life and am not ignorant of our housing crisis.

- withdraw the plan to remove lands from the Greenbelt;
- get on with a meaningful Greenbelt expansion that reflects public input - repeatedly promised but never delivered by the Ford government;

We need to protect lands in the greenbelt from development. Government should be focusing on revitalizing and intensifying downtown cores rather than pulling more people out to suburbs and allowing downtowns to die.

I urge the premier to withdraw the plan to remove lands from the Greenbelt and maintain his initial promise to continue to protect these lands. This is not the pathway to affordable housing.

Surely we and the wildlife are blessed to enjoy God's natural wonders
Unless you and your colleagues and builders will move from your cosy homes to personally offer housing to others
and still want to mess these lands up

The Ontario government recently announced that it intends to break its loudest, clearest election promise, by inflicting a fatal 7,400 acre wound on the vital and wildly popular Greenbelt.
I OPPOSE BILL 23 AND ASK THAT THIS BILL BE STOPPED IMMEDIATELY

We should not build additional housing in the Greenbelt area. There is plenty of undeveloped or underdeveloped land within the current municipal boundaries. And creating more suburban housing will lead to an increase in traffic congestion and seal environmentally sensitive land.
This is a terrible idea and one you should be ashamed of. You have no right to take this land and turn it into cheap housing. You are ruining Southern Ontario.
I urge the Premier to:

The Greenbelt was established for a purpose - to keep some areas natural for the health of the region, the local wildlife, forests, water, air and overall health & beauty of the area. "Ontario’s Greenbelt protects farmland, communities, forests, wetlands and watersheds.
