This is a ridiculous amount of "free" water to beautify a golf course for the wealthy, while the rest of the"folks" can barely afford to pay our water bills.
Ground water and streams are an essential part of our ecosystem and any change can be determential to hundreds of species.

I oppose this request. All golf courses should have access to water based on size and it should be as sustainable as possible. If Chedoke only uses 49,161 m3 why does Hamilton want access to 4.2 Million m3 ? It is ridiculous in these environmentally 'woke' times.

It's worry some the amounts of water that is proposed to be taken out of Ancaster Creek and the surrounding watershed for such a niche usage. Hamilton until very recently has been in a drought which this will cause even more ill effects to. This will harm the already sensitive ecosystem around it.
Please do not grant a permit to the HHCC to extract millions of litres of water from sensitive creeks and reservoirs. We cannot afford such a loss for a nonessential use such as golf. Chedoke GC has used
Far less water and perhaps has a lesson To teach .
