I would like to voice my disapproval over this project slated for Dresden. A Landfill in our town would have negative effects on our property values.

I am writing in opposition to this proposed amendment.
The current site was originally built to accomodate a small amount of local waste, with little impact to the local farming and small urban municipality.

As a long time resident of Dresden who is raising a young family, we do not want this in our town. How is this even acceptable when the site is only 1 kilometre from town with residents living so close? We do not want the excess traffic, pollution, noise, damage to our roads etc.

The location of this proposal is far too close to a vibrant community. It will result in widespread property devaluation. There will be substantial odour pollution, and noise pollution as the site plans to operate 24/7. It will increase the traffic of trucking substantially in this small town.

I’ve been a resident of Dresden my whole life and I’m very concerned with the York 1 landfill expansion. I’m worried about the damage it will do to our water wells, creeks and rivers from pollution contamination . I also worry about the additional road traffic causing damage to our roads.

I am mortified this proposals is being considered as a waste management landfill when it is 1 km away from the town of Dresden, Ontario.

As a single mom who had to move an hour from home just to afford a house, the peaceful & safe existence made it worth it. With extra traffic comes more safety concerns for my child walking to and from school and takes away that piece of peace we finally found.

I wish to be contacted to provide my major concern regarding my property, springs on my property and household well which is in close proximity to Molly's Creek which floods every spring. I have photos to support my concern.

We vote against a landfill in the Dresden area. We do not want such a facility in our area! Our water ways, children, health and well being will all be at stake - this is not to go through!!! How can a company like this buy up good farm land to propose such a business - leave this area alone!

I am a concerned resident of Dresden. I am amazed with the steps taken by York 1 to develop a land fill in Dresden. Very underhanded tactic's taken by both York 1 and the provincial government.

As a resident of Dresden I find it appalling that we have found out about this so late in the game. There is so many reasons why this project shouldn't go forward.
This waste company seems very underhanded is the process they are going through without notifying Chatham-Kent and they are very underhanded. This will have repercussions on many businesses expletive in the area including Wallaceburg and several other localities.

In reading the statements made as justification for excluding this proposal from a full environmental assessment, I find two significant direct factors that have not been considered and additional factors that would have negative consequences.

This landfill is too close to the town of Dresden and a creek. Have we leaned nothing from the past? Or does money overule quality of life and the environment?
I plea that you do NOT allow York1 to build a dump 1 km outside of the town of Dresden. This would be an environmental disaster! Molly’s Creek runs near that land, which drains into the Sydenham River which drains into Syne and Lake St. Clair.
