I support this proposal because it is a step in the right direction, even if it does not go far enough. Rondeau Park was created for cottaging according to its charter in 1894. Cottagers should receive permanent tenure with reasonable financial terms and fair conditions. Lire davantage

I am in favor of this proposal but there appears to be a conflict with the decision of ERO 011-1300 which stated that a FINAL decision was made NOT to extend leases until 2038 but refers instead to a forthcoming new proposal for long term occupation of cottage lots in Rondeau. That needs to happen.

I am in favor of the proposal to modify the Plan to allow cottages to remain until 2038, but since current leases run out in ten weeks, this is really late and an unnecessary stressor on leaseholders. Give them the long term solution promised in the decision of ERO 011-1300. Lire davantage

I support the proposal 100% and hope this is the first step to allow cottages to remain permanently. The majority of leaseholders are of modest means and lease fees should not escalate to make Rondeau a bastion of the rich.

I support the proposal to amend the Park Plan to allow cottages to remain until December 31 2038 and hopefully forever. There is room for everyone at Rondeau: cottagers, campers, beachgoers, birdwatchers, naturalists, boaters and sportsmen.

In August 2019 the Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks Jeff Yurek made a commitment to Chatham-Kent Mayor Darrin Canniff. Minister Yurek promised to sell all cottage lots to the Municipality of Chatham-Kent to be then transferred to the cottage owners. Lire davantage

I support the renewal of the Rondeau 14 year lease extension to 2038, and beyond. New leases must be developed in consultation with Rondeau Cottagers Association , with reasonable terms. Rondeau Provincial Park was founded on a cottaging community.

I support the renewal of the cottage leases at Rondeau Provincial Park. This is a beautiful setting where nature and humans can co-exist. The cottages, like the campground and the surrounding lands are what makes this a great place to be in Ontario.
