Hello......I'm 69 years old......I have hunted moose for about 20 years......not for the last 25 years......for about 10 years I bought a license, didn't receive an adult tag.....I was told if I wanted a tag , I needed to apply in a group.......needless to say I didn't hunt in a group......so I stopped buying a license, and stopped hunting......I believe it's my right to be able to hunt.....
The tag management program and lottery plan, was flawed from the very beginning......YOU could or would receive a tag , if you were a non resident or were going to hunt with an outfitter, because they spend more money.....this is what I told by an MNR person, when I went into an office to ask questions about the tagging program......
To increase the moose population, in my opinion , is not to kill a calf, and or pregnant cow.....that's a no brainer ......I very surprised that wild life biologists have not come to that conclusion....
thankyou for letting me submit a comment........
