This is yet again Doug Ford dismantling environmental legislation under the banner of "streamlining" and "reducing bureaucracy". It's nothing more than reducing the effectiveness of the Conservation Authorities and will also result in additional bureaucracy as there will be another layer of management in the mix. In the end we will all suffer with increased flooding, reduced oversight and more and more and more wetlands paved over in the name of "progress". It's all rubbish and I look forward to the day when Doug Ford no longer rules this great province and we all get back to the actual work of environmental legislation which is meant to protect the environment - not allow the developers access to more land with weaker and weaker restrictions.
