I a local Oakville resident writing to formally object to the current proposal for the Oakville GO Transit-Oriented Community (TOC), specifically regarding the extraordinary density levels proposed and the demonstrable lack of coordinated infrastructure planning necessary to support such growth.
While the strategic goals of transit-oriented development—increasing housing supply and transit ridership—are fully supported, the current proposal represents an unworkable and unsustainable model of hyper-density that disregards sound local planning and threatens the livability of Midtown Oakville.
