The proposed project is reminiscent of others that have been concocted by Premier Ford and his ministers and, of course, developers they are closely aligned with.
The primary reason for this outsized project appears to be profit oriented with no regard for the effects on the local community and the town as a whole. The location with close proximity to commuter services to Toronto seems to indicate a drive to please the business community that has great difficulties to attract workers who have to deal with never ending traffic congestion. Many of those work stations, their computer screens and keyboards could be relocated to satellite offices in Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton and other locations, thereby avoiding such high concentration at and near commuter stations.
