Comment
Please see attached correspondence dated January 16, 2026 on behalf of Oak-Lane Park Investments Inc.
The comments include:
1. The plans and studies prepared in support for the TOC must account for the redevelopment of Midtown Oakville, including the Oak-Lane lands (570 Trafalgar Road), at a level of intensification comparable to that proposed on the TOC lands. If not, there is a risk that the transportation network and servicing infrastructure will be inadequate to accommodate future growth.
2. 570 Trafalgar Road is the preeminent, gateway location in Midtown Oakville and is well-suited for transit-oriented growth and intensification.
3. A decision to approve the TOC that does not anticipate comparable height, density and built form on 570 Trafalgar Road would be contrary to the public interest as it will impair the ability for this area to redevelop in an efficient and coordinated manner.
4. The Minister should coordinate with the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing to ensure that OPA 70 permits buildings up to 56 storeys in height on 570 Trafalgar Road, with corresponding minimum density permissions.
5. The site plan for 217-227 Cross Avenue and 571-595 Argus Road proposes Tower C in a location that does not provide a 35-metre tower separation from any future tower on 570 Trafalgar Road (which is required by OPA 70).
6. Oak-Lane should be involved in discussions with the Ministry and Distrikt regarding the future development of Midtown Oakville.
