I am a young 21 year-old adult who’s just graduated university and grown up in Oakville for the past 14 years. I’ve lived in multiple areas here, learnt to drive here, and worked my first job for many years in one of the thriving plazas that’s planned to be demolished. Even as a young adult, I can see how bad these high-density condos will be for the infrastructure of midtown Oakville. Apart from being a profit machine that has somehow steamrolled through all planning stages to the objections of Oakville residents, the livability of this area will severely decrease. Anyone who lives here is well aware that the Trafalgar-Cornwall intersection already gets highly congested regardless of rush hour, the GO train parking lots are packed and the trains too, and traffic is extremely heavy always at the split between the QEW and 403. The infrastructure here is already suffering and these high-rises will gridlock it. I do not want to be a part of an Oakville that has such little concern for its residents. Do better, choose OPA70.
