As a young person, studying at an environmental and natural resource college, I am deeply disgusted with the Ontario Government's decision to ignore the Environmental Assessment Act. This act exists so that development is done in a way that respects the long-term health of the natural environment as well as the health of the many generations to come.

Disregarding the impacts on the environment for the sake of human convenience is a terrible idea as it will cause irreversible environmental damage. I believe that prioritizing the environment and future generations instead of short-term conveniences is the only way that safe and sustainable development is possible.
