This is a bad decision. Bike lanes are good for so many reasons - supporting local businesses, enhancing citizens' local knowledge + community advocacy, promoting people's health, reducing greenhouse gas emissions - and they ultimately *decrease* car traffic by providing people with other feasible transportation options. Getting rid of these lanes will not solve anything, it will in fact make traffic worse ultimately and jeopardize the health and safety of many!
