Am I understanding correctly…

Am I understanding correctly that the government of working on chopping off the safety sewer pipes that carry sewage way out into the lake to accommodate the development of Ontario Place? As a paddler who utilizes the water within the break wall I highly object to this action. Why would the city ruin the water for the paddlers and swimmers? We have safety measures in place for a reason. Why would we dismantle that? Are we becoming Trump like in how our government runs? What about protecting the public?
