While the government of Ontario is pushing ahead its development agenda for the Therme ns affecting Toronto's waterfront, the City of Toronto's wastewater management is being r, not to mention the additional wastewater effluent impact on the Lake Ontario environment and recreational waterfront usage.
As an Ontario resident who frequents Toronto's waterfront, I am asking that the proposed redirection of storm water overflow be fully planned with the City of Toronto's oversight. This project affects Toronto's existing wastewater management plans and may incur additional cost to Ontario taxpayers for environmental cleanup and/or legal costs due to hasty, publicly unsafe waste water rerouting. Halting the project to allow appropriate and transparent environmental impact assessment.
