I am unequivocally against removing the environmental assessment requirement for this so called expansion. This is not an existing landfill by any means. It is a shallow hole in the ground that accepted small amounts of fly ash generations ago. That is all. To suggest it is an expansion of an existing landfill is ridiculous and taking advantage of our community. This property is less than a kilometer from town, the edge of the property itself is only meters away. Molly's Creek runs through this property that feeds the Sydenham river that feeds Lake St.Clair. Extremely close proximity to schools and houses. Dresden and area is an agricultural hub of Canada. No way this project will pass with a proper E.A. To use the Trump tariff situation is shameful. Also, our roads will not handle this. We are no where near any 400 highways. If this project passes it will be a stain on the Premiers legacy forever.
