Under Bill 5 Special…

Under Bill 5 Special Economic Zones will be created to facilitate development. However, any legislation that affects Indigenous peoples' inherent Treaty rights must have free, prior and informed consent. The rights of our First Nations cannot be overlooked or undermined.

I urge the government to consult with First Nations before the bill is passed and to exempt First Nation territory from the Special Economic Zones.
