I oppose the Special Economic Zones Act 2025
This is not the way our democracy works. To fast track a landfill approval to jeopardize the health and security of our own thriving agricultural, healthy rural community is not showing what our provincial government has promised us. To do due diligence on the side effects of a landfill site on the surrounding area is the Conservative government's responsibility. This community has supported this party as they have stood by what we believe in and we have been satisfied with this representation unless something as inappropriate of said proposal is approved.
It seems the dollar amount is the priority and not the benefit to community, land and resources.
To bend under said tariffs instead of fighting back and finding a compromise to meet the needs of both parties without jeopardizing the security and safety of our community seems incomprehensible.
Even Hydro One a provincial enterprise seeks the information feedback and holds information sessions, sends out updates and requests the people affected their feedback.
We who live, own and raise our families and businesses here deserve to be heard and not allow something as this to be approved.
We oppose this proposal.
