I do not support the proposed changes in Bill 5. I do not think that development should be allowed to commence without the proper environmental assessments and without thorough permits; development should not come at the cost to biodiversity and greenspace that we all need to survive. I also do not believe that going after these permits is an effective way to increase housing development and addressing the housing crisis when there are densification options such as quadplexes, changing in-city zoning, and having government-developed supportive and low income housing.
In short, I vehemently oppose these changes and they do not represent my wants or needs, nor address my problems as a young productive resident of Ontario.
