Bravo to Liberal MPP Ted Hsu…

Bravo to Liberal MPP Ted Hsu who is asking Ontario’s Integrity Commissioner to investigate Doug Ford and 3 of his ministers in connection with the decision reversal to have an Environmental Assessment done prior to the Dresden DORMANT landfill be turned into a horrific active dump taking into thousands of tonnes of garbage from the Toronto area daily! Included in his request is Andrea Khanjin former Minister of the Environment who initially said an EA had to be done, Todd McCarthy the current Minister of the Environment leading the government’s efforts to remove the EA through legislation and the Minister of Energy Stephen Lecce who introduced Bill 5 that exempts the Dresden dump from the EA process. I am SO grateful for the support of Mr. Hsu who is standing up for the people of Dresden and Lambton County. It was also stated in the Chatham Daily News article where I learned this information that Doug Ford had said at a news conference in Windsor in March 2024 that ‘ he believed in the people and if they don’t want don’t want something like the Dresden dump, then the province won’t do it’. Well Premier Ford, THE PEOPLE DON’T WANT IT!!! The people are speaking! We are asking that you live up to your word! It’s about integrity and therefore again as a long-time Dresden resident I am so grateful for MPP Ted Hsu to request an investigation from the Ontario Integrity Commissioner.
