The revised legislation governing environmental considerations and public input regarding development along the shoreline of Lake Ontario at the public lands once known as Ontario Place currently being proposed by our provincial government is a blatant betrayal of both the people and the land.
This revised legislation does not in any way serve the well being of our people or our limited existing natural resources, nor does it serve the longer term health and safe living standards of our future generations.
Although the public park once known as Ontario Place has already been obliterated, the proposed new development for this site is misguided and not necessary. Nor is it wanted by the citizens of this region.
This proposed revised legislation is biased toward current government policy simply to ensure that their plans for development of this land can continue unchecked and in no way serves the greater good of our society and public health. It should not be enforced.
