I am strongly against this…

I am strongly against this proposal. The Ontario Government should not be using the trade war as an excuse to weaken environmental protections in the province. We need stronger environmental protections - no project should be fast tracked at the expense of the environment. As a Torontonian, I recently experienced the detrimental affects of the provincial government deciding to bulldoze ALL green space and wildlife habitat at Ontario Place with no prior environmental assessment and now birds, ducks, foxes and coyotes have lost their homes. As recently as last week, a mated coyote pair were shot to death as a result. This senseless loss of life is a direct result of the shameful provincial government's decision to "fast-track" the Ontario Place project. Needless to say, I don't want this type of fast tracking repeated again elsewhere in the Province. This type of policy proposal will only lead to greater environmental and societal harm in the long-term.
