I stand against Bill 5 …

I stand against Bill 5 . This piece of legislation removes too many protections for our precious environment , allowing development projects to be rushed through without proper environmental assessment or review. It puts all land and life in Ontario at risk including land which has already been designated to be untouched such as the Greenbelt and Provincial Parks.
Once environmental degradation has taken place, species lost, water deemed toxic or air polluted it is impossible to replace. Commodifying nature which all species including humans depend on for life is short sighted. What will the generations coming behind us say? Will they applaud this government on protecting, saving and reclaiming what we now have or will they be living in a toxic and degraded environment.? I urge this legislation to do the right thing and cancel Bill 5.
