Under no circumstances should any portion of Beaches 1,2, New Wasaga or Allenwood be sold to the town of Wasaga Beach. Doing so would expose said lands to total privatization/sale as part of the imbecilic redevelopment plan Wasaga Beach is ramming through.

There is NO guarantee of tourist amenities, services or facilities in the immediate implementation plan of either the town’s or the new owners of what was town owned property at beach 1. Condos are the priority, with tourism and all that is needed for tourism as an afterthought.

We face a tourism desert at the moment due to demolition of virtually everything at beach 1 and face that tourism desert for between 2 and 5 years before (allegedly) all redevelopment phases are complete.

Tourism will be done in Wasaga Beach at the end of that timeframe because nothing exists to support tourism at the main focus of tourists, which is Beach 1. Portable toilets are not something most tourists are interested in using and not having food/beverage (even water) for tourists for that timeframe is ridiculous.

If you are going to sell those allotments to Wasaga beach then the sale must hinge on those lands being held by the town, in perpetuity, with no sale or waterside development allowed.
