It is very important for the City of Hamilton to get this MZO passed so that we can get these affordable houses built. The housing complex was there as was the CN rail, what could be the difference now that CN is stalling the building of these much needed homes.
CN appeal was filed years ago (2022). The City has tried to get work with them to resolve this impasse, clearly without success or they wouldn’t be using the MZO path.
We are in a housing crisis. We need affordable homes built and we have interested nonprofits at the ready to get these affordable homes built. Please allow this MZO and help the City of Hamilton built 642 new homes there to help in the housing /homelessness crisis we are experiencing.
