The Janesville property…

The Janesville property needs to be urgently redeveloped and restored as a key and necessary housing opportunity for the community of downtown Hamilton. It was previously a thriving affordable city housing community. The project is halted by CN’s dispute that the noise from the rail yard is inappropriate with housing so close. However it is already a densely populated neighborhood with many other occupied homes and buildings next to the rail yard with no issues. It is imperative that the Ministry move forward with a zoning order to allow this property to be redeveloped and serve the community.
