GASP supports planning for the transition to electrification and supporting expected growth in AI. GASP does not support the expansion of transition fossil fuels because solar and wind and battery are already feasible clean alternatives.
4. Hydrogen Initiatives and Clean Electricity Fund (FCEF)
GASP supports the use of FCEF funds to invest in clean energy and displace the use of fossil fuels. FCEF funds should also respect commonly used investment criteria which would favour solar and wind projects with lower risk factors than hydrogen investments.
