Bill 5 is one of the worst omnibus bills in present day. As our natural resources continue to be exploited, ridiculous tunnels continue to be built, and biodiversity is being lost at astounding rates, this act pushes us in the exact opposite direction of what we should be moving towards. The Endangered Species Act was fundamental to species' protection in a world that already is unconducive to their survival and was the backbone of Ontario's conservation efforts. Special economic zones are a disgrace and puts profit over both people and the planet. I'm 19. Unless you would like my children and the children of my peers to grow up in a world where nature can only be viewed on screens, things need to change. Get your priorities straight, Doug Ford! You need to do better.
