As a Ontario resident who is deeply concerned about our communities the following worries me about Bill 5.

- Habitat protections are now limited to a animals and birds dwelling place and immediate surroundings.

- Several animals including 35 bird species have lost provincial protection, even though they appear on Canada’s federal species at risk list.

I am a volunteer and lead many groups in Toronto's ravines in ecological restoration. The speacies and habitat loss is incredibly dangerous and puts the region at risk of losing valuable integrity which will be impossible to restore without protection for our land and the species who call it home.

I want the government of Ontario to reverse these changes and protect our endangered species and lands.
