I disagree strongly with the decision to remove special concern and migratory species from the Ontario Species at Risk List. Special concern species are on that list because they are at risk of becoming threatened, endangered, or worse. Having them on the list ensures that they are considered more seriously and their presence isn't outright ignored when developments are submitting applications. Additionally, the removal of migratory birds and fish species is disagreeable because more protection is never a bad thing.
