Natural Resource Solutions Inc. (NRSI) is an Indigenous-owned environmental consulting firm specializing in ecological monitoring in a variety of applications, including private sector development, government contracts, academic research, conservation and restoration planning and implementation, etc.

Staff of NRSI have considerable experience in bat ecology and research, as well as assessing the effects of operational wind turbines on bats through the operational monitoring of more than 50 wind energy projects in Ontario.

NRSI wishes to re-submit a previous ERO comment that was submitted on February 12, 2025 (ERO #019-9411; Comment ID 125295; see attached) as it relates to the consideration of mitigation measures to minimize impacts to Species at Risk bats at operational wind energy facilities.

NRSI also wishes to reiterate the request for formal consultation on specific regulatory language and requirements prior to final regulatory adoption, including (but not limited to) regulations relating to the consideration of impacts from operational infrastructure.
