I am writing to express major concerns for the consolidation of the conservation authorities in Ontario. As Progressive Conservatives you're really missing the mark on CONSERVING the natural environment in Ontario.

This is clearly a move to cut corners, cut costs, and reduce oversight on the environment. We will not stand for that.

We, the people of Ontario, don't believe for one second that this move is for our best interest. This is only for the interest of the rich developers who want to make money without following the protocols put in place to protect the people and wildlife who share this part of the country.

What will happen when the moves you make as a result of this consolidate cause even more flooding and man-made-natural disasters? You will just shrug and say that there was nothing you could have done, and send thoughts and prayers.

Do not keep gutting the protections we have in place to ensure that the development we do is in line with the natural boundaries that exist. Do not consolidate. Do not cut jobs in the environmental sector.

I hope this is clear, and if you move forward anyway that this decision haunts you every time there's a flood, a death, or another disaster that could have been avoided.
