As a 65 year old Ontario…

As a 65 year old Ontario-born resident I strongly reject the proposal tabled here, on the grounds that it represents a cynical attempt to consolidate power under the provincial government rather than improve the delivery of environmental services to the people of Ontario. This government has already demonstrated its contempt for and ignorance of the central importance of a well-protected environment on multiple occasions such as the Greenbelt fiasco and I have no reason to believe they are acting in good faith here. Clearly, 38 local organizations can deliver far more calibrated local service than any massive province-wide bureacracy. This proposal must be extinguished.
