I'm not sure how consolidating and completely over hauling the current Conservation Authorities is saving money when the cost associated with such is over the top.
Why not just over haul the current leaders at Conservation Ontario with the proper people, entrust them with the same authorities and powers that you intend to delegate to the "agency". Hand those powers to Conservation Ontario, hell give them one of your guys to over see it, instead of incompetent Angela Coleman.
Ontarians don't need you to spend more money on an amalgamation process that just does not make sense. We just need you to offer governance, organization for all Authorities. Give guidelines that make them more efficient.
I work for a CA and believe me when I say that from an organizational stand point, having the same computer programs, functions, processes, etc, makes total sense. That can be done without amalgamating and costing Ontarians more money.
