No other jurisdiction in North America has a CA-like model, yet all other jurisdictions have been able to manage hazards and conserve land and ecosystems in a manner appropriate for that jurisdiction. Ontario does not measure materially better than all other jurisdictions in the management of hazards and the conservation of land, so why do we need a bespoke and unique model that no other jurisdiction has adopted? Having a bespoke model imposes unnecessary administration, cost and bureaucracy for no improved outcome relative to other jurisdictions.

My comment is this: this proposal does not go far enough since 7 CA's will remain. CA's should be eliminated altogether, and a model imposed that appropriately manages natural hazards and the conservation of land without imposing this unnecessary layer of administration and bureaucracy on Ontario citizens.
