I am commenting in opposition to Ontario’s proposal “to improve the conservation authority (CA) system” for the regional consolidation of Ontario’s 36 CAs.

I care about conservation authorities and want them to remain unchanged because they use community expertise to make local environmental protections; such as mitigating and preventing environmental disasters, as well as protecting precious ecosystems.

I disagree with Doug Ford’s proposal because it makes it easier for developers to pave over these protected lands by eroding voices at the local level and consolidating the power into the hands of a few.
