This proposal is dangerous to the environment across Ontario, and it is evident that this is merely a way to fast track the Ford government’s agenda to develop. Local Conservation areas are critical to protecting sensitive environmental areas, and this decision to merge into 7 is a dangerous and short sighted one.
Conservation Areas have not been consulted about this, and it is apparent that there is a poor understanding by the Ford government about what CAs actually do.
This proposal is harmful and should be halted immediately.
