I am concerned for the loss of local expertise and local representation with an amalgamation this large. The community resources of trails and conservation areas that are managed by these local Authorities are deeply valued and integrated locally.
It is critically important local ecosystems are represented by the people that live around them, and with an amalgamation this large representation will be lost.
