I believe that the conservation authorities should be left as is .
Reasons :
If the amalgamation takes place there will be loss of local expertise and local control to make decisions specific to locations..
Reduced accountability and responsiveness .
As a tax paying citizen of Ontario this is just downsizing and taking away environmental protection under the guise of improvement .
I say leave the current system and improve it
