I'm extremely concerned…

I'm extremely concerned about this government's consolidation of services and power in their own favour. I live in Hamilton and we have such rich natural surroundings here, with our waterfalls, hiking, waterfront, etc. Hamilton owns thousands of hectares of beautiful land that we all enjoy. Your proposal will erode many of the protections and powers we currently have.

Local autonomy will be lost, and I think that's by design. You know there's no way every municipality will be represented on your new board, so you're actually silencing dozens of voices who actually care about conservation. You're also giving this new board the power to overrule any decisions made by these consolidated authorities.

You're also making it extremely difficult for people to have a say if they have to go to Queen's Park to voice their opinions. Again, I believe is this is all part of the design.

I don't believe you value public opinion. You've bulldozed dozens of new rules and laws through with little to no consultation. You seem to just want to consolidate power in your direction at whatever expense to the public and the environment. I'm giving you my opinion but I feel it will fall of deaf ears, plugged up with the din of greed.
