I am located in Thunder Bay, within the lakehead region conservation authority jurisdiction. I do not agree with decision to group the LRCA with the Lake Huron conservation authority and other regions. We do not even remotely share similar topography or watershed characteristics and I don’t understand why these regions would be grouped together. This is another example of uneducated bureaucrats making decisions on topics they have absolutely no understanding of. The Ontario government is simply trying to fast track approvals to the profit of their developer friends which will certainly have a detrimental effect on our watersheds. It wasn’t that long ago that we were all learning about the backdoor deals they were making on the green belt, let’s push them to do better!
