I am one of the only strategic risk management professional in Northern Ontario. This conservation authority consolidation plan would set us on course to destroy what Northern Ontarians hold most dear which is our natural habitat - rocks, trees, clean lakes and wildlife. The geographic catchment area proposed through immalgimations is far too large and will fail to provide the resources to address the unique needs each current conservation authority has. Our conservation authorities need support through finding and resources not further loss through immalgimations and government oversight. It's giving the level of destruction felt by Greater Sudbury under the Mike Harris Government.
