I oppose the merger of the Conservation Authorities down to 7. I believe this is to provide an easier route for developers. As with the Speed Cameras this government has not provided any evidence for this merger. In fact there needs to be a public process before any decisions are made.

I fear local residents concerns will be ignored and this will add more expense to the taxpayer base and would cause layoffs for staff that know their existing areas. Computers and other office equipment will need to be under one roof and additional training will be required.

This will only benefit developers who seek easier permitting and greater profits while eroding the environment we depend on.

The public has been shout out on many government policies, communities demand public hearings before any decisions are made. Ontarians deserves this.
